Project Brief: Petham is a beautiful village nestling in a valley close to Canterbury. Funding was obtained by the management committee to replace existing village hall comprised of a corrugated steel building dating from around the 1920’s. The use of glue laminated timber frame and hand made clay tiles and bricks enhance the marriage of this building into the landscape. Sustainability is present throughout the building including a ground source heating system which provides heating to the building at a reduced cost.
