Project Brief: Construction of four new linked classroom blocks and extensions, alterations and refurbishment of existing Special Needs School together with associated drainage and external works. The competition winning design is constructed principally from timber and the use of laminated timber beams and high level windows provides for an exciting design together with the practicality of light airy classrooms, interesting curved timber shapes, textures and colours which will provide stimulation and interest for the special needs pupils.
