Our Approach.

Quantity Surveyor

As a practice we have over 20 years experience in providing quantity surveying services in the construction industry. Our role is to manage and control financial aspects of the construction process. Our aim is to ensure that a project is completed within budget. We provide cost planning services, develop them into robust cost reports, prepare tender documentation, arrange contracts, control financial issues during construction, agree accounts and prepare post contract analysis.

Employer's Agent

For Design and Build projects, our role includes understanding the client’s objectives and developing this into the “Employer’s Requirements” for contract purposes, as well as providing advice on implications affecting the site/property design, use and cost. We would take the lead during both pre- and post- contract elements of a project. We would arrange, run and minute meetings and instruct the contractor accordingly. Our services include key roles during handover inspections, defect periods and rectification periods. In essence we would guide the client through the complete project from conception through to completion.

Monitoring Surveyors

As Chartered Surveyors, we are able to provide clients with a Monitoring Surveying service. Many funders would require developers to have in place independent Monitoring Surveyors, who can assist, advise and monitor the works throughout the project.

Contract Administrator

We can provide an administration role for “Non- Design & Build” (traditional) construction projects. This usually includes co-ordination of the design team, taking a lead in the project, controlling information flow during construction and leading the team through the whole process. This role is usually provided alongside our quantity surveying service.

CDM Co-ordinator

Up until recently called Planning Supervisor (changed as of 6th April 2007 by CDM Regulation 2007), our role is to give advice and assistance to our clients regarding the Health & Safety regulations and ensure that suitable measures are made for the co-ordination of health and safety procedures during planning and preparation for the construction phase of a building project.

Cost Consultant

In parallel with our quantity surveying role, we provide services including value engineering, feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis and lifecycle costing.

Contractor’s Tender Measurement

Using the latest software we are able to offer a service to contractors by providing them with measurements for tender submissions. We have the facility of  Masterbill3 and QSCad which allows us to produce electronic bills, including CITE format. We have a team of surveyors who can carry out this service and we always understand that a prompt response and turn around is essential.
