Fulston Manor School, Sittingbourne
Fulston Manor School
Forming Phase One of a four-phase masterplan, a primary aim of this project was to enable a significant number of life-expired mobile classrooms to be removed from the campus. This new building placed teaching and learning at its very core and provided a flexible, exciting, healthy and comfortable 21st Century teaching and learning environment.
The new teaching block offers 16 classroom bases of differing sizes and incorporates a number of moveable acoustic walls. The building primarily accommodates the school’s English and Mathematics Departments.
Betteridge & Milsom supported the school from the outset, providing Master Plan cost consultancy services, assisting the school in seeking funds for the scheme, and as Employer’s Agents, Cost Consultants and Clerk of Works, ensured that the scheme was a great success.
The school has subsequently sought funds for Phase Two, and starting on site early 2015, will provide new 6th form centre and learning resource/teaching spaces.
