Quantity Surveyor/ Cost Consultant
“quantity surveyor. n. person whose job it is to calculate the cost of labour and materials required for construction projects, whilst looking after the client’s financial interests”
As a Practice, we have a experience in providing Quantity Surveying services within the Construction Industry. As a Quantity Surveyor, our role is to manage and control all financial aspects of the construction process. Our aim is to ensure that a project is completed within Client budget constraints. We provide cost planning services, develop robust cost reports, prepare tender documentation, arrange contracts, control financial issues during construction, agree accounts and prepare post-contract analysis reports.
“cost consultant. n. party whose far-reaching project involvement includes initial cost planning, production of bills of quantities and project cost control during construction”
As Cost Consultants, we work to ensure the efficient and effective management and control of projects – from a financial perspective – throughout construction to ensure that schemes meet with budget constraints. This role is delivered in parallel with our Quantity Surveying services and encompasses: feasibility studies; cost-benefit analysis; value engineering exercises; and lifecycle costing. The aim of the Cost Consultant is to ensure value for money for the Client whilst making certain that the quality, suitability and durability of building methods, solutions and components is in no way compromised. Beyond this, as Cost Consultants, we undertake lifecycle costing of preferred construction methods and components to ensure that over the life of the building and its associated infrastructure, our Clients get the best possible end product, within budget and to their timescale.
