Chantry Place consisted of the demolition of the existing Chantry Social Club and the construction of 32 new build apartments. The apartments are mixed tenure with 3 private, 13 shared ownership and 16 affordable rent. The 4th floor apartments all have balconies with a panoramic view of Canterbury’s skyline and the cathedral. In addition, some the ground floor apartments have their own private gardens.
Careful consideration was given for the exterior appearance for Chantry Place with the cladding to ensure it ties in with the neighbouring buildings. The method of construction was also crucial to the build as the site was landlocked with neighbours on all sides, including a hotel.
