Chantry Place is a residential development consisting of 32 new build apartments. To suit all audiences the apartments are mixed tenure with 16 affordable rent, 13 shared ownership and 3 private ownership.
The scheme is located in the historic town of Canterbury, where it is central to parks, entertainment and shopping. Additionally, the 4th floor apartments all include a balcony with a panoramic view of Canterbury’s skyline. This includes breath-taking views of Canterbury’s famous cathedral.
In the process of designing the exterior appearance to this scheme, careful consideration was given to ensure the cladding ties in with the neighbouring buildings, such as the Premier Inn.
This project had very restricted site access which made deliveries very difficult. To help ease the issue, the project was developed using off site manufacturing. The scheme also included the demolition of the existing Chantry Social Club.
